Economic fluctuation and health outcomes
This project focuses on understanding the relationship between macroeconomic changes and mortality rates, with a particular focus on all-cause mortality, traffic mortality, and mortality from cardiovascular disease (CVD) and coronary heart disease (CHD). We analyzed data from multiple OECD countries spanning several decades to estimate the short-term and long-term impact of macroeconomic fluctuations on mortality outcomes. Overall, this project provides valuable insights into how macroeconomic changes can influence mortality rates, shedding light on the complex interplay between economic factors and public health outcomes.
